While the website is careful to note that the organization is separate from U.S. English, Inc., the two are closely linked, even sharing a common logo, advisory board, and CEO. U.S. English says that "the passage of English as the official language will help to expand opportunities for immigrants to learn and speak English, the single greatest empowering tool that immigrants must have to succeed." The organization, which boasts 1.8 million members, seeks to make English the nation's official language. According to Right Web Profile, U.S. English presents a moderate, humanitarian image, but maintains prominent right-wing and neoconservative members on it advisory board, including Midge Decter, Jacques Barzun, Nathan Glazer, Mrs. Richard DeVos, Norman Podhoretz, and James Schlesinger.
