Founded in 1976, the Landmark Legal Foundation is a Virginia-based conservative "public interest law firm" that uses litigation to fight for free enterprise and a limited government. In it's battle for school vouchers, Landmark Legal has launched an effort against the National Education Association, filing legal complaints throughout the country. Landmark Legal is also strongly opposed to "judicial activism," which it describes as "the most insidious legacy of modern liberalism." Mark Levin, the group's president and host of a syndicated radio show, has compared President Obama to Hitler and referred to the National Organization for Women as the "National Organization of Really Ugly Women." In 2007, the organization nominated Rush Limbaugh for the Nobel Peace Prize, claiming Limbaugh was the "foremost advocate for freedom and democracy in the world today."
