The Alliance for School Choice promotes vouchers and other school choice programs. Founded in 2004, its board of directors currently includes former Washington, DC Mayor Anthony Williams and current Newark, NJ Mayor Cory Booker. In 2006, a writer for the Alliance for School Choices blog complained that public schools were teaching students about Ramadan. He claimed that public school students were being brainwashed and indoctrinated into radical Islam.
