New Ad Falsely Claims Solicitor General Kagan "Kicked The Military Off Campus" At Harvard

On May 14, 2010, the conservative Judicial Crisis Network (formerly the Judicial Confirmation Network) released an ad opposing Solicitor General Elena Kagan's nomination to the Supreme Court.  The ad dishonestly claims that Kagan "kicked the military off campus" during her tenure as dean of Harvard Law School.  In reality, Kagan upheld longstanding university policy, facilitated military recruitment through the law school's Veterans Association, and complied with court rulings.

Judicial Confirmation Network Falsely Claims "All Nine Justices" Opposed Sotomayor's Ricci Decision

On June 29, 2009, the Supreme Court ruled in the controversial case Ricci v. DeStefano, siding 5-4 along ideological lines with the plaintiffs. However, Wendy Long of the Judicial Confirmation Network issued a statement claiming that "all nine Justices" opposed Judge Sonia Sotomayor's previous ruling in the case.
