A particularly contentious bill has passed the House and makes its way towards the Senate, gathering steam and vitriol from conservatives as it goes: the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act, known among laymen as Hate Crimes, or "The Matthew Shepard Bill."
