Subject: Fwd: Obama: Opponents of Socialism breaking 10 Commandments!Friends,
President Obama is going to try to steamroll us by addressing the nation Sept.9 about health care reform. His goal is to get the public to contact Congress to counter our resistance. In order to beat this back, we will simply have to redouble our efforts.
A friend forwarded this. I'm going to wait until after the 9th to fax my Congressman. But I am not going to do nothing. I will make my opinion known.
You may feel free to use the fax service provided below, or contact your elected representation by your own chosen means... but please don't be silent, and if you've called, written or emailed before already, please do so again, as your own personal response to his address. It will be necessary to fight back twice as hard, if we are going to preserve our liberty.
A friend loaned me Levin's "Liberty and Tyranny". I only read the first chapter of 12 pages. It is so good, I wanted to mark their copy all up, but since I couldn't do that, I immediately went on-line and ordered up a copy of my own from Amazon. It's a keeper, friends, buy or borrow a copy and read it!
Feel free to forward this to all your address book.

Liberty CounselPresident Obama has thrown every Christian who dares to oppose socialized healthcare "under the bus." Please see below and share this message with your friends. --Matt
A few days ago I alerted you that President Obama and some Socialist-Democrats have adopted a strategy of claiming a "biblical mandate" for their government-run healthcare plan.
Tragically, it's much worse than I initially reported. Now President Obama has even gone so far as to accuse his opponents of breaking God's commandments!
While recently addressing a group of faith-based leaders,President Obama said, "There's been a lot of misinformation about this debate and there's some folks who are frankly bearing false witness."
That was no accidental phrasing. It was an intentional reference to the 9th commandment, equating those who oppose his plan as violators of one of God's most fundamental commands.
In short, he says< anyone who resists his lock-step liberalism is a liar!
+ + Obama "God's partner" in socializedhealthcare?
In yet another recent address, a conference call with 1,000 Rabbis, Obama again claimed the moral high ground for his socialized healthcare plan, saying: "We are God's partners in matters of life and death."
It is dumbfounding that these words came from a man who is so radically pro-abortion that he even supports the gruesome partial-birth abortion procedure! Some "partner" on matters of life!
Every Christian should be outraged that the President dares to claim the moral high ground for socialized healthcare -- while demeaning his opponents as violators of God's commands!
+ + Obama to address the Nation on September 9
Next week, the Obama team will ramp up the pressure to pass ObamaCare to new levels. On September 9 (next Wednesday), Obama will address a joint session of Congress in a nationally televised address.
I want to make sure every congressional office is flooded with phone calls and faxes to counter Obama's "God mandate" for socialized healthcare. We simply cannot allow this hypocritical, outrageous assertion to stand! "God's partner"? Hogwash!
+ + Fax Barrage of Congress
If you haven't done so already, please join with thousands of other Liberty Counsel friends in a massive "Fax Barrage" of Congress that will begin the day after Labor Day.
I want to flood every member of Congress with faxes beginning next Tuesday. But to do so, I need your help right now. We have to mostly finish our preparations this week since Monday is a national holiday.
Please go here to schedule your faxes for delivery as part of Liberty Counsel's massive Fax Barrage that begins next Tuesday when Congress returns:

We simply must counter President Obama's most recent effort to cloak his government takeover of healthcare in a religious mandate. The very thought of this brazen deception is repulsive!
How dare he claim that God is on the side of publically-funded abortion, mandatory so-called "end of life" counseling, government regulated "family planning," and the many other anti-life, anti-freedom contents found in the ObamaCare legislation!
Thank you for standing with me, and may God bless you as we fight for the very soul of America.

P.S. If a freedom-loving American had ever claimed God's "partnership" in a legislative agenda or demeaned his opponents as "bearing false witness," the liberal media would have immediately launched a crazed and relentless outcry! Apparently, President Obama gets a free pass from the media... but, with God's help, NOT from our Nation's vigilant citizens!
Response
Hey,
Thanks for forwarding that email. I appreciate that you're tuned in to President Obama's plans for health care reform - everyone should be. I have to say, though, that a lot of the stuff in this email just isn't true.
First, the president never said he had a "biblical mandate." He did say that we have a "moral obligation" to make sure all Americans have health care, but I don't really see the problem with that. Nobody should die just because they don't have as much money as somebody else and families shouldn't have to go broke just to care for somebody who gets really sick.
Obama did say that some of his opponents have been "bearing false witness." However, that's not even close to the same thing as saying "anyone who resists his lock-step liberalism is a liar!" The fact is that a LOT of politicians and other people in the media have been LYING about what health care reform will do.
For example, lots of people have said that the plan in Congress would cover illegal immigrants. That's a lie -- there's a specific section in the bill saying it won't. This independent website PoltiFact.com, which corrects Democrats and Republicans, gave that claim a "Pants On Fire" rating. Talk about bearing false witness! http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2009/jul/30/chain-email/no-free-health-care-illegal-immigrants-health-bill/
It's the same thing with the "death panel" stuff that Sarah Palin was saying. Even the email you forwarded said there's "mandatory so-called 'end of life' counseling," but that's not true at all. PolitiFact.com gave that a "Pants On Fire" rating also. The counseling would help seniors plan things like advance directives in case they get sick and living wills. It would also be purely OPTIONAL. Read more about it here: http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2009/jul/23/betsy-mccaughey/mccaughey-claims-end-life-counseling-will-be-requi/
Also, health care reform won't require you to pay for anyone's abortion. In fact, the House already passed an amendment to the bill making sure of it. You can check that out here: http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2009/aug/07/john-boehner/boehner-says-democrats-health-care-plan-would-lead/
And one last thing: the email talks about what would happen if a "freedom-loving American" ever claimed God was on his side... well, don't forget that George W. Bush actually said that the Iraq War was a mission from God! http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2005/oct/07/iraq.usa
I fully encourage you to contact your representative and let them know what you think. But you should get the facts straight before you do. I know it's tough with all the bad information out there to figure out what's true. Still, I think it should be clear that the claims in this email are NOT the truth.
Talk to you soon.
